Argos Town Council members met in a workshop earlier this month to go over the Town’s proposed grant programs that are aimed at assisting local businesses.
In a previous meeting, officials shared that these incentive programs will allow the Town to set aside a certain amount of funding that could be requested by business or building owners who are looking to make improvements to their operations or facility.
When the resolution for the grant programs came before the council during their meeting on Wednesday, May 1st, members voted to table the matter for now to continue working on the associated documents.
There was a local restaurant that filled out and turned in an application when officials first started discussing the grant programs. However, the document they received hadn’t been finalized yet.
During their most recent meeting, members mentioned they will not consider the request until they complete the policies and an updated application can be provided.
