The Plymouth School Board has a new member. Allie Shook was appointed by board members Wednesday to fill the remainder of Larry Holloway’s term.
School Board Vice President Melissa Christiansen said it was a tough decision. “So the last couple of weeks, we interviewed nine candidates,” she said. “It was a fantastic process, and I want to thank all of you who applied and interviewed with us. Everyone was very committed, and it was great to see. It was a great process for us.”
Following her appointment, Shook took the oath of office and joined the board for the rest of the meeting. Her term runs through the end of 2020.
Board Member Larry Pinkerton also took time to recognize Holloway not only for his 10 years on the school board, but also for 36 years as a teacher, coach, and administrator. Christiansen explained that Holloway moved out of the area and could no longer serve on the board.
