A Louisiana woman was arrested on Friday, March 29, after allegedly driving under the influence and causing damage in an accident.
According to the Plymouth Police Department, officers were called to the scene of an accident at the intersection of N. Michigan Street and W. Jefferson Street around 10 p.m. where a semi tractor trailer reportedly crashed into a traffic signal pole. The semi then fled the scene westbound on W. Jefferson Street, police say. A Plymouth officer reportedly found the semi attempting to turn around in a parking lot when the semi struck a building.
After an investigation, the driver of the semi, 38-year-old Nicole J. Diallo, of New Orleans, Louisiana, was arrested on preliminary charges of operating while intoxicated, leaving the scene of an accident, resisting law enforcement, and disorderly conduct.
