The first installment of 2018 property taxes is due to be paid on May 10.
Marshall County Treasurer Angie Birchmeier said notices were mailed last week. She encourages property owners to check the statements carefully to ensure that all information is correct. If there are questions about deductions, call the Marshall County Auditor’s Office. Assessment questions should be directed to the Marshall County Assessor’s Office. (Phone numbers are listed below).
Taxes can be paid in person at the Treasurer’s Office on the second floor in the Marshall County Building. The Treasurer’s Office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Extended hours are offered on Saturday, May 4 from 9 a.m. to noon, and Thursday, May 9 and Friday, May 10 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Beginning two weeks before the due date, or you can visit any Teacher’s Credit Union branch or First Merchants Bank in Bourbon to drop off your payment. Bremen residents can drop off payments in the Bremen Clerk-Treasurer’s Office.
Debit or credit card payments will be accepted, with a convenience fee, in the Treasurer’s Office or online at www.co.marshall.in.us.
A drop box is located on the south end of the Marshall County Building for residents to drop off payments.
Mailed payments must be postmarked by the postal service by May 10.
