A Louisiana woman was formally charged in an incident on March 28 where she allegedly hit a stop light post while driving a semi-tractor trailer and later struck a building.
Nicole Diallo, 38, of New Orleans, Louisiana, was reportedly found to hit the stop light at N. Michigan Street and W. Jefferson Street and left the scene. She attempted to turn around in a parking lot at a local business and police said she struck the building while performing the task. According to the police report issued by the Plymouth Police Department, further investigation found she was under the influence of alcohol.
On Tuesday, April 2, the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office charged Diallo with a Level 6 Felony charge of obstruction of justice as she allegedly withheld blood as evidence in the impaired driving investigation. Additional counts include operating while intoxicated endangering a person, operating a vehicle with an ACE of .15 or more, leaving the scene of an accident, resisting law enforcement, and open alcoholic beverage container.
A Probable Cause Affidavit alleges that Diallo’s blood alcohol level was over three times the legal limit.
Diallo has bonded out of the Marshall County Jail.
