Only one quote was submitted for the purchase of a truck for the Plymouth Wastewater Department.
Utility Superintendent Donnie Davidson opened the lone quote from Oliver Ford in Plymouth for a pickup truck with a service body in the amount of $59,207. The trade-in value for a 2004 Ford XL 250 is $500. The net quote is $58,707.
Davidson told the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members that quotes were requested from Country Auto and Auto Park and discussed the truck specifications with representatives at both companies and they apparently chose not to submit quotes.
Board member Jeff Houin asked if the quote was within the department’s budget for this purchase and Davidson responded that it was. With that, Houin made a motion to approve the purchase as long as it meets the approval of Davidson as he reviews the paperwork. The motion received a favorable unanimous vote.
