The Bremen Town Council members approved a bid for the second phase of a comprehensive lift station project.
During the council meeting Monday afternoon, Ken Jones from Jones, Petrie and Rafinski recommended that the council approve the bid submitted by Haskins Underground in the amount of $615,800 which includes several thousands of dollars in discounts.
The company was the lowest bidder when the council members opened bids during their March 25 meeting. The company’s bid was at least $200,000 less expensive than the next lowest bidder.
The lift station projects are on Woodies Lane South, State Road 331 North, Legner Street, Harding, and Destiny Drive.
This year’s project will complete the replacement of all lift stations in the Town of Bremen in a two-year replacement plan.
