Bourbon officials discussed the proposed Fire Department roof repair project during last Tuesday’s town council meeting.
According to Clerk-Treasurer Kim Berger, members considered some quotes for redoing the entire the roof and another quote to just repair particularly problematic areas.
Berger said the quotes to redo the whole roof ranged between $60,000 and $67,000. The company Premium Building Contractors submitted a quote of approximately $8,000 to just make some repairs to the roof.
Rather than having the whole thing redone, members voted to have the roof repaired by Premium Building Contractors. Clerk-Treasurer Berger mentioned that before the project can move forward this decision will also need to be approved by Township officials since Fire Department expenses are split 50/50 with them.
