A Tyner man was arrested Monday afternoon after an accident in the 4500 block of Miller Street in Plymouth.
Officers from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department were notified of the accident shortly before 7 p.m. They say 57-year-old Michael Merle Tomblin went off the road, struck a large rock and then a tree stump. Further investigation found that Tomblin was intoxicated at the time of the accident, according to the report.
Tomblin was transported to the hospital for a certified chemical test which reportedly showed that he had a blood alcohol level three times over the legal limit.
Tomblin was booked in the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle and possession of methamphetamine.
