Plymouth Police Make Several Arrests

The officers with the Plymouth City Police Department arrested several residents on various charges this past week.

Police responded to a complaint at JC Penney on Wednesday, March 13 in reference to two men reportedly leaving the store with unpaid merchandise.  After an investigation, officers determined that 32-year-old Samuel Menefee of Plymouth was allegedly involved in the theft.  He was arrested on a preliminary charge of theft. 

On Friday, March 15, employees at the N. Michigan Street Dollar General store reportedly told police that a woman was slumped over the wheel in the parking lot.  Plymouth EMS personnel found 45-year-old Amy Fansler impaired under the influence of medication.  She was transported to the emergency room for a chemical test and then booked into the Marshall County Jail on a preliminary charge of operating while intoxicated.

It was in the evening hours on Saturday, March 16 when a vehicle driven by 34-year-old Wualter A. Almendarez-Zelaya was stopped at the corner of Michigan Street and Garro Street due to an alleged infraction.  During theaffic stop, officers reportedly found that the driver was never licensed to operate the vehicle and was arrested on that preliminary charge.

A 911 call in the 100 W. block of LaPorte Street in the overnight hours on Sunday, March 17 resulted in the arrest of Raul Rodriguez and Jorge L. Rivera, Jr. of Argos.  The preliminary charges include public intoxication and criminal mischief. 

A Fort Wayne woman was arrested on Monday, March 18 on several warrants in Marshall County and Kosiuscko County. Plymouth Police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the Taco Bell parking lot where 31-year-old Jacquelin Brown was subsequently arrested.

A traffic stop late in the day in the 300 block of North Street in Plymouth on Monday, March 18 led to the arrest of 30-year-old Alisha Ross of Plymouth.  She was allegedly operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a previous conviction.
