Plymouth Man Arrested after Report of Shots Fired

A Plymouth man was arrested Thursday night after officers responded to a report of shots fired.

Plymouth police officers arrived in the area of North Michigan Street and Harrison Street around 6:30 p.m. where they reportedly heard gunshots fired from the back of a residence in the 800 N. block of Michigan Street. 

Police set up a perimeter around the residence and contact was made the suspect after a short time.  The suspect, 29-year-old Andrew Neal Meloy, agreed to surrender.  He was taken into custody without further incident.

Meloy was booked into the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of criminal recklessness with a firearm, possession of marijuana, possession of narcotics, and possession of paraphernalia. 

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department and the Indiana State Police assisted at the scene. 

Suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
