The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members approved a recommendation from Police Chief David Bacon to purchase two new vehicles for the Plymouth Police Department.
Chief Bacon recommended purchasing for two 2019 Dodge Durangos that feature all-wheel drive and are police pursuit-rated. Country Auto had the lowest quote of $58,864 out of the two quotes that were received. They would accept a 2010 Dodge Charger at a trade-in value of $2,200 and a Ford Taurus in the amount of $900.
The board members also approved a request from Utility Superintendent Donnie Davidson to solicit quotes for a new maintenance truck with a service add-on. He said it will be replacing an older vehicle. The money to purchase the vehicle is included in the 2019 Wastewater Capital Improvement Project line item in the budget.
