The Koontz Lake-Oregon Township Fire Department will be getting a newer vehicle as a fleet vehicle for medical calls and to assist firefighters at the scene.
Oregon Township Trustee Mark Allen told MAX 98.3 FM News that the 2016 Dodge four-door, four-wheel drive truck was picked up at Oliver Ford in Plymouth on Thursday evening.
An older Suburban on the fleet will be sold and that money will be used to go toward the purchase of the newer vehicle that was purchased for $23,600.
Allen said the newer truck will hold all of the medical supplies needed when first responders are called into service.
