Bremen Police Arrest Four in Traffic Stops

Officers from the Bremen Police Department arrested four people in four traffic stops over the course of two days.

A Wednesday afternoon incident found the driver, Windie Cherrone of Bremen, allegedly driving a vehicle while intoxicated and in possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia.  She was taken into custody.

Bremen officers say a traffic stop on State Road 331 South found the occupants of a vehicle in possession of two syringes.  One of the syringes allegedly field-tested positive for heroin.  The subjects weren’t identified in the information released to the media, but the suspects were from Mishawaka, Elkhart and Illinois.  One was subsequently arrested.

On Wednesday evening during a traffic stop in downtown Bremen, police say 27-year-old Teslyn DeLancey was arrested on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a controlled substance and a warrant issued by the Marshall County UNIT for dealing in methamphetamine.

The last traffic stop occurred in the early morning hours on Thursday where officers say 31-year-old David L. Schutz of LaPaz was arrested on a preliminary charge of possession of methamphetamine and a felony warrant for dealing methamphetamine issued by the Marshall County UNIT.

All subjects were booked into the Marshall County Jail.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
