An ordinance regulating parking in the downtown area came before the Argos Town Council for final approval when members met Wednesday night.
Town Attorney Derek Jones informed members that their recommendation to add in a specific time frame was heeded. Instead of reading no “overnight” parking, the ordinance now states that parking is prohibited between the hours of 3 a.m. and 6 a.m.
As a reminder, the areas impacted by this ordinance include Michigan Street from Smith to Williams and Walnut Street from Maple to First.
The ordinance was considered on second and third reading and it was passed with unanimous approval.
