Plymouth Mayor Mark Senter delivered his annual State of the City Address Monday night during the City Council meeting.
He discussed building relationships and foundations on which the city can prosper. He mentioned the development of the Dr. Susan Bardwell Aquatic Center and Growing Kids Early Childhood Learning Center with the addition of the offices of the Marshall County Community Foundation and the United Way in the same complex. He also commented on the development of River Gate South apartment facilities, the next phase of the Greenways Trail, the Autumn Trace Assisted Living Facility, and the upcoming Centennial Crossings development. The city-donated land toward the Habitat for Humanity townhomes was also a topic he touched on as well as an 18-unit permanent supportive housing facility as future projects.
The completion of the Boys and Girls Club building was also a highlight. He noted the work on the utilities and infrastructure within the city, the new flight school at the Plymouth Municipal Airport, the historic La Porte Street footbridge project, the complete streets policy, ADA sidewalk transition, efforts of the Marshall County Crossroads Stellar Communities group, new business and economic growth, as well as the rise in success with the Rees Theater project and the arts programs within Wild Rose Moon, Discover Plymouth, and more.
The entire address can be heard during the Maximum Impact program on Sunday at noon on MAX 98.3 FM.
