The Marshall County Election Board members will be making a decision on Vote Center locations when they meet later this month.
At their meeting this week, Clerk Deb VanDeMark suggested having one Vote Center each for Bremen, Culver and Bourbon and two for Plymouth voters.
One resident who worked at a Vote Center in the most recent election said the recent addition of the Plymouth High School should be evaluated as there are a couple of concerns. As the vote area was being set up, kids came through the doors as they couldn’t be locked for emergency reasons. They were able to put up signs and re-route foot traffic to provide more security. He also suggested putting up directional signs so the voters have a clear idea of where to go to vote.
Election Board member Ralph Huff will go to the National Guard Armory to see how construction is going there and come back with a report at the next meeting. It will be then when they approve Vote Centers for the upcoming election.
