John Glenn Spanish Students to go to Costa Rica in March

The John Glenn High School Spanish students will be going to Costa Rica during this year’s Spring Break, as approved by the John Glenn School Board Tuesday night.

First-year John Glenn High School Spanish Teacher Katherine Chlystun and Jim Houser will be taking five or six students to Costa Rica where they will visit schools that speak Spanish all day and visit the National Parks, stay with a host family one night, and attend cooking and dancing classes on the last day.

Students will be able to earn college credits in this trip.

This is a yearly trip for the students.  High School Principal William Morton said it’s a chance for the students to obtain a global experience.

The tour company, World Strides, will be assisting the students with the trip that is scheduled for March 22 to March 31.
