Plymouth School Board Appoints Treasurer and Deputy Treasurer, Accepts $900 in Donations

The Treasurer and Deputy Treasurer for the Plymouth Community School Corporation were appointed when the school board met last Monday.

Kandi Tinkey was retained as corporation treasurer and the Wendy Haenes will serve in the deputy treasurer position.

According to the school website, Tinkey is the schools’ business manager and she can address any grant or budget questions with while Haenes handles matters relating to payroll. Both women are qualified to handle documents that need to be notarized.

In addition to setting up who will handle the schools’ financial matters, school board members also accepted $900 worth of donations when they met last Monday.

There was a total of $500 donated to the Lincoln Junior High School, with $20 from M-Key Marketing, Inc going to the band program and $480 from World’s Finest Chocolate heading to assist with student resources.

Members also approved a $100 donation from Harold Schmidt to Menominee Elementary School and $300 worth of donations from First Presbyterian Church. The church provided a $100 donation to Webster Elementary, Washington Discovery Academy and Jefferson Elementary.
