The Indiana Sheriff’s Association has scholarship applications available for qualified high school seniors or college students pursuing a degree in criminal justice, as announced by Marshall County Sheriff Matt Hassel.
Forty scholarships worth $750 will be awarded to students throughout the state.
The applicant must be an Indiana resident, be a current member of the association or dependent child or grandchild of a current member of the association, attend an Indiana college or university, major in a law enforcement field, and enroll as a full-time student.
Sheriff Hassel has applications at the sheriff’s office at 1400 Pioneer Drive in Plymouth or they can be obtained at a high school guidance counselor’s office. For convenience, the scholarship application can be downloaded from the Indiana Sheriff’s Association website at www.indianasheriffs.org.
The application deadline is April 1.
