The new John Glenn School Superintendent will be named by the school board in a specially called meeting tonight.
The school board has been working with the University Superintendent Search Team, comprised of members from Ball State University, Indiana University, Purdue University and Indiana State University, to fill the position when Superintendent Richard Reese steps down June 30, 2019.
Reese’s successor will be introduced tonight.
Prior to the announcement, the school board plans to approve the 2018 contract for the current school superintendent. The board members are also expected to approve the new superintendent contract from 2019 to 2022. A public hearing concerning that contract was held last week. The basic salary for the new superintendent is listed at $118,000 for each year with benefits.
Tonight’s John Glenn School Board meeting will be at 7 p.m. in the John Glenn Administration Building on the campus of the John Glenn High School.
