The John Glenn School Board members will open a public hearing tonight on the superintendent’s contract for 2018.
The school board also plans to hold a public hearing on Dec. 20 to go over the new superintendent’s contract for 2019. It is anticipated that the new superintendent will be announced in a special session on Dec. 27 when the 2018 and 2019 superintendent contracts are approved.
Superintendent Richard Reese submitted his retirement notice that was approved by the school board in a November meeting.
The board has been working with the University Superintendent Search Team, comprised of members from Ball State University, Indiana University, Purdue University and Indiana State University, to fill the position when Reese steps down June 30, 2019.
Also during tonight’s meeting, the board will receive updates from all of the building principals.
The John Glenn School Board will meet at 7 p.m. tonight at the administration building on the grounds of the high school campus.
