The Town of Culver is looking for residents to fill several board and commission seats that will be up for appointment in 2019.
The Culver Plan Commission will have one open seat, according to Clerk-Treasurer Karen Heim. She says the town is looking for a Republican to serve a four-year term. “There’s two positions on the BZA open, and those are both appointed by the council president to a four-year term,” she explains. “There are five spots on redevelopment. They’re all up every year, so two appointed by the council president and three appointed by the council, and that’s, again, a one-year term. There’s a position on the Marshall County Economic Development Corporation as the Culver representative on their board, and that is appointed by the council to a three-year term.”
Heim also says there will be an opening for a four-year term on the Culver-Union Township Public Library Board. The town council decided Tuesday to set the application deadline for the open seats for January 4.
Council members also approved the town’s 2019 holiday schedule.
