A Bourbon man was arrested early Friday morning after reportedly battering his wife.
According to the Bourbon Police Department, a woman called police on Thursday to report that she had been battered by her husband at her residence on West Center Street. She reportedly has a restraining order against him. Lee Motz, Jr., 27, reportedly left the residence prior to the arrival of the police department.
He returned to the home in the early morning hours on Friday and police were called back to the residence. At that time, Motz, Jr. was taken into custody.
Motz, Jr. was taken to the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of domestic battery and invasion of privacy. His cash bond was set at $1,500. He will appear for his initial hearing in court on Jan. 15 at 8:30 a.m.
