With the new Triton Auxiliary Gym completely erected and enclosed, all of the remaining work that needs to be done is inside the building.
Superintendent Jeremy Riffle reports that the project is moving along nicely and that construction crews from Michael Kinder and Sons are just a few months away from finishing it completely.
Riffle explained, “Pretty much all the electric is in and all the lights are in. The floor is inside of the building but just on pallets as it acclimates.”
He continued, “There’s definitely a few punch list items that they’re going to have to go back and correct and redo so we’re kind of in that stage where, before we put the gym floor down, let’s make sure everything else is in check.”
A groundbreaking ceremony for this project was held back in April and Superintendent Riffle said the project is expected to wrap up toward the end of January. He added that teams will have the opportunity to utilize the new facility in the coming semester.
