Individuals who wish to apply for the Argos EMS Director position have until Wednesday, November 7th to get a letter of interest turned into the Argos Clerk’s Office.
As a reminder, the current EMS Director Richie Miller tendered his resignation in August and plans to officially resign on December 31st. Miller has noted that applicants are required to have EMT experience.
When Town Council members met last month, Councilman Charles Randy Snead reminded his fellow council members that they have been asked to assist with the replacement process. At that time, Councilwoman Suzanne Umbaugh mentioned that officials don’t currently have anything in writing that outlines particular responsibilities or how the director will be selected.
Snead noted that all the letters of interest will be submitted by the time the Town Council meets next on November 7th. He said that will give them three meetings to discuss the position and the hiring process before the director has to be established.
Emergency Medical Technicians can submit letters of interest at Clerk-Treasurer’s Office located at 201 West Walnut Street. If you have any questions, call 574-892-5717.
