Plymouth Mayor Mark Senter is hosting a blood drive today from 8 a.m. to noon at the Plymouth Fire Station.
The South Bend Medical Foundation will be in Plymouth for this blood drive. Each unit of blood collected can be used to save up to three local lives.
According to the mayor’s office, the blood donation process takes less than an hour from screening to completion. Donors are encouraged to drink plenty of water the day before the donation and have a good breakfast the morning of the donation.
All donors in the month of November will receive a certificate for a free turkey.
