Indiana State Police troopers will join forces with other law enforcement agencies across the nation to participate in Operation C.A.R.E.
Operation C.A.R.E., or Combined Accident Reduction Effort, will allow officers to enforce law relating to impaired driving, seat belts, speeding and young-adult driver’s licenses. Traffic enforcements will be around major travel holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
Officers will be paid overtime for these enforcement efforts with funds from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration distributed by the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute.
