The holiday season will be ushered in the City of Plymouth with the “Music of the Holidays” event this Saturday, Nov. 24.
Discover Plymouth will host a downtown Plymouth scavenger hunt from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Check The Pilot News or any downtown business open on Saturday to get the ballots to be used for the event. The winners will receive downtown bucks to be used at any participating businesses.
It’s Shop Small Saturday with merchant discounts for holiday shoppers. Enjoy model trains at the Marshall County Historical Society Museum from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Residents can craft their own ornaments thanks to the Heartland Artists and Plymouth Chamber of Commerce starting at 5 p.m. until they run out of supplies.
Beginning at 6 p.m., the holiday parade will make its way through downtown Plymouth which will lead residents to the tree lighting ceremony at River Park Square. Viewers are urged to gather on the Michigan Street bridge to catch the moment when the tree begins to shine and welcome all to the holiday season.
The Plymouth Park Department will feature a music and light show at River Park Square following the parade and tree lighting. Pictures with Santa will follow the tree lighting at the Marshall County Historical Society Museum. Cookies and hot chocolate will be served on Garro Street between the museum and the Marshall County Visitor’s Bureau.
