Three Children Killed at Fulton County Bus Stop

Three children were killed and a fourth was seriously injured, while trying to board their school bus Tuesday morning in Fulton County. State Police say it happened in the 4600 block of North State Road 25. WNDU-TV reports that the kids were boarding the bus and the stop-arm was out, when they were hit by a pickup truck heading the other direction.

Six-year-old twins Xzavier and Mason Ingle and their nine-year-old sister Alivia Stahl were all killed, according to WNDU. Maverik Lowe, 11, reportedly suffered multiple broken bones and other injuries and was airlifted to a Fort Wayne hospital. The driver of the pickup truck has been identified as Alyssa Shepherd, 24.

Governor Eric Holcomb released a statement Tuesday, saying “Words cannot express the depth of sorrow Janet and I feel, which only pales in comparison to what family, friends, teachers, classmates and community are feeling right now.” He called on Hoosiers to join him in sending prayers for strength.
