A Plymouth man attempted to elude police Monday night after an officer reportedly attempted a traffic stop in the area of Western Avenue and North Street in Plymouth.
An officer from the Plymouth Police Department attempted to stop a black moped, but the driver, 53-year-old Michael Berger, fled the traffic stop by driving off the road and through a wooded area, according to the report.
Police caught up to Berger a few blocks away and he was taken into custody without further incident.
Berger was booked in the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a motor vehicle while suspended with a prior conviction and resisting law enforcement in a motor vehicle.
