A Wisconsin man is in the Marshall County Jail after he allegedly caused an accident after he had been drinking.
According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, emergency responders were called to the scene on U.S. 31 north of 12th Road on Sunday morning at about 7:45 a.m. A passenger in the vehicle, Christopher E. Martinez, from Everett, Washington, was injured in the accident and transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
The driver, 26-year-old Edwin Octavio Jarquin-Rosado, of Eau Claire, reportedly refused medical treatment at the scene despite being injured, according to police.
During the course of the investigation, police say Rosado was found to be intoxicated. He was arrested and booked into the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering a person and operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a BAC more than .08%.
