The second installment of 2017 payable 2018 tax bills is due on Tuesday, Nov. 13.
Marshall County Treasurer Angie Birchmeier urges everyone to check the tax statements to make sure all eligible deductions are applied to the tax bill. Any questions about deductions must be made to the Auditor’s Office at 574-935-8555. Questions about assessments should be directed to the Assessor’s Office at 574-935-8525.
Birchmeier says in addition to paying taxes in person at the Treasurer’s Office, TCU branches and First Merchants Bank in Bourbon will be collection points for payments as well as the Bremen Clerk-Treasurer’s Office.
Online payments will be accepted at www.co.marshall.in.us or by phone at 1-866-480-8552 and are subject to a convenience fee. A drop box is available at the south end of the Marshall County Building for after-hours payments.
Residents can pay taxes in Room 206 of the Marshall County Building at 112 W. Jefferson St. in Plymouth. The office is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. For the taxpayer’s convenience, the office will be open on Friday, Nov. 9 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 10 from 9 a.m. to noon and Tuesday, Nov. 13 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The office will be closed on Tuesday, Nov. 6 for Election Day and Monday, Nov. 12 in observance of Veteran’s Day.
Any mailed payments must be postmarked by the postal service by Monday, Nov. 12.
