The John Glenn School Board members got an update Tuesday night on the recent Falloween event.
High School Principal William Morton said in the 10 years of the event, this year was the biggest by far. All money raised goes into scholarships for John Glenn students.
“The feedback from our vendors, staff and many other people who were here was overwhelmingly positive,” said Morton. “Our vendors, both our own at the school and others, sold out of product, with some having to make runs to buy more supplies. The entertainment was good and the weather was perfect for Fall.”
All of the sales were up this year. According to Morton, that means that more money will be available for scholarships. He prematurely estimated that over $40,000 will go toward students. He will have a final figure in an upcoming board meeting.
He thanked all who helped make this a success this year, including many donors who supported the event. He added that many people are already anxiously awaiting next year’s Falloween event at the John Glenn High School.
