Woman Survives Combine Accident

A Plymouth woman was involved in a combine accident Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, 54-year-old Laurie Hayn went into a cornfield south of 12447 Peach Road thinking that 58-year-old Ronald Hayn was not going to be there as he just went through the area. She reportedly told police that the next thing she knew the combine driven by Ronald Hayn was on top of her.

Plymouth Firefighters and paramedics found Laurie Hayn caught in the combine and extricated her from the equipment. She was conscious and responsive at the time emergency responders arrived at the scene. She was flown by Medflight to Memorial Hospital in South Bend.
