Three people were injured in an accident on Friday morning in the 14,600 block of State Road 110 west of Olive Road in Culver.
According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, Timothy Liddell of Nappanee was traveling west on State Road 110 when he swerved to miss a deer. Police say the action caused Liddell to lose control of his vehicle. He ran into a guardrail and then into the opposite lane which completely blocked the lane. In a separate vehicle, Daniel Funk from Rochester came upon the accident as the third car driven by Dustin Andrews of Culver ran into Liddell’s vehicle. The force pushed both cars into Funk’s vehicle, according to the report.
Andrews was in the process of calling 911 when the accident happened.
Liddell was taken to Memorial Hospital in South Bend while both Andrews and a passenger were flown from the scene with unknown injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
