The John Glenn School Board members hope to have a new superintendent in place soon.
Several applications have been received for the position since it was posted last month. It was previously reported that the school board wanted a new superintendent in place before the end of the year.
The school board has been working with the University Superintendent Search Team, comprised of members from Ball State University, Indiana University, Purdue University and Indiana State University to fill the position when current Superintendent Richard Reese steps down at the end of June.
Reese has not formally submitted his retirement request for the board’s approval, but it is anticipated to be presented at the next meeting on Sept. 18.
