The Plymouth Redevelopment Commission will meet tonight where the members will open a public hearing for the proposed funding of the construction of certain improvements in support of Winona Building Products, LLC at 506 N. Street.
As previously reported Winona Building Products officials are planning to upgrade the plant that formerly house Del Monte to support more than four manufacturing lines by 2022. Winona Building Products offers high-quality insulation facings and vapor retarders.
The first phase will be complete in about three months which will enable the installation of Line 1 equipment and building improvements. A total of 40 new jobs will be created by the first quarter of 2019 with interviews and hiring to begin in the next few months.
The commission members will also hold a public hearing in order to create a TIF District in the Western Avenue Economic Development Area. Action during the meeting is anticipated in order to allow the future request for tax increment financing
A Plymouth City Hall renovation update will be provided as well as updates on the Hoham Drive project, Aquatics Center construction, and River Gate South apartment complex development.
