Marshall County Clerk Shares Important Dates Related to the Election

The Marshall County Election Board members reviewed the ballot for the General Election when they met Tuesday morning. County Clerk Deb VanDeMark noted that precinct copies were also received on Tuesday and those were forwarded to the election board members for their review.

VanDeMark also mentioned a few important dates related to the election that will be coming up soon.

She explained that candidates will be coming into the Clerk’s Office to review ballots between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. today. Additionally, she said voting machines will be programmed on Sunday, September 23rd. There will be a machine test-run at the Clerk’s Office at 9 a.m. on Monday, October 1st. Citizens are encouraged to attend the testing day in order to familiarize themselves with the machines prior to Election Day.

Poll worker training has been scheduled for 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Tuesday, October 30th in the Commissioners’ Room at the Marshall County Building.

VanDeMark also mentioned that voter registration ends on Tuesday, October 9th and the first day to start voting absentee is Wednesday, October 10th.
