The John Glenn School Board members approved the advertisement of the 2019 budget during their meeting Tuesday night.
The budget is structured differently next year with the General Fund replaced with the Education Fund and the Capital Projects Plan, Bus Replacement Plan and the Transportation Fund combined into the Operations Fund. That is part of the state’s overhaul of the school funding structure.
According to Recording Secretary Lisa Sleek, the tax rate will be advertised at 1.317 with the levy at $4,806,881. The 2019 budget of all funds totals $18,140,292.
The budget will be adopted after it’s advertised and a public hearing held.
