Three Argos School Board Seats to be on General Election Ballot

For the first time in the school’s history, the Argos School Board will be elected by a vote instead of the method of appointment.

Clerk Deb Vandemark informed the Marshall County Election Board members this week that the Indiana Department of Education recently approved a request by the school board to become an elected board.

A District 3 At-Large seat will be up for this year’s election as well as a District 2 At-Large Seat and a District 1 Town seat.

With the notice from the state, candidates can now begin filing for those open seats. The window in which to file closes on Friday, Aug. 24 at noon in the Marshall County Clerk’s Office.
