A Plymouth man is in the Marshall County Jail after allegedly trespassing and battering a woman.
Plymouth Police say officers were called to a home in the 600 E. block of LaPorte Street for an unwanted guest. Officers found 25-year-old Joseph Ryan Childers inside the home. He was told to leave the premises.
About a half hour later, police were called to the same residence where they found the female caller at the front door. She was been severely beaten, according to the report. The action was allegedly done by Childers.
Marshall County units located Childers in the 800 block of W. Garro Street and took him into custody.
Childers was booked into the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of battery, strangulation, burglary of a dwelling that results in serious bodily injury and trespassing – refusing to leave after being asked to leave.
