The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members considered a request to place no parking signs on the south side Crimson Lane to accommodate the flow of traffic there.
Joan Walter said the area is an underdeveloped cul-de-sac and there is a physically challenged child who lives at one of the homes. When the school bus makes its way into the area, it has a hard time maneuvering around the parked cars on both sides of to turn around, especially the number of cars parked on the south side of the street. Trash haulers, the mail truck, emergency vehicles, plow trucks, and other larger-profile delivery vehicles also have difficulty in the area.
Board members asked Street Superintendent Jim Marquardt to notify the neighbors on Crimson Lane of the potential change and it will be on the agenda for the board’s next meeting on Monday, Aug. 27.
