The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members will meet tonight where they will hold a hearing to affirm an order to take action regarding the property at 801 Sycamore St.
Plymouth Building Commissioner Keith Hammonds asked the board members earlier this month to consider a demolition order for the property as it is a hazard. The board members will also open bids for the 2018 street and sidewalk fall projects, and receive an update on work by Comcast on the right-of-way at 2160 N. Oak. The company had reportedly completed the work before permits were approved. The board had approved a $2,500 fine to be imposed due to the improper procedure of process. Information regarding right-of-way work done by Comcast on Airport Road will also be before the board tonight.
Other items include HIS Small Wonders agreement renewal, a sidewalk request, and no parking requests.
The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety will meet at 6 p.m. followed by the Plymouth City Council meeting.
The Plymouth City Council members plan to discuss the second and third readings of an ordinance fixing the salaries of appointed officers and employees, fire and police personnel for 2019. The proposed increase is two percent.
Both of the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety and Plymouth City Council meetings will be held in the Fire Department Meeting Room at 111 N. Center Street in Plymouth.
