Each year in Marshall County, nearly half a million dollars is donated to United Way by individuals and companies who are looking to make an impact on the lives of families, friends and neighbors who benefit from the programs and services they provide, according to organization representatives. The United Way of Marshall County website states that organization officials and dozens of dedicated volunteers work diligently to ensure the donations are distributed to partner agencies fairly, objectively and with a great consideration for their best use.
The site indicates that in order to receive funding for the 2019/20 grant cycle, letters of intent need to be submitted by 4 p.m. on Monday, August 13th.
As a heads up, there are certain eligibility guidelines and funding priorities that interested organizations should be aware. To be considered, funding needs must be focused on helping families become financially stable and independent, helping adults and youth achieve their potential through education and/or improving people’s health.
Once the letters of intent are reviewed by the United Way of Marshall County Allocations Committee, eligible organizations will be notified by Thursday, August 16th about whether or not they’re permitted to submit a full application as a part of the competitive grant process. Full applications would be due to the United Way office by 4 p.m. on Friday, September 28th.
