The John Glenn School Board members met last week with a firm to assist the school corporation in the search for a new superintendent.
The University Superintendent Search Team comprised of members from Ball State University, Indiana University, Purdue University and Indiana State University will help the school board in the hopes of finding a replacement by the time John Glenn Superintendent Richard Reese steps down at the end of June next year.
The school board hopes to make a decision by the end of this year.
Reese has not submitted his formal retirement paperwork for the school board’s approval, but he did make the announcement to the staff at their back-to-school event on Monday morning.
The first day of school for students at John Glenn is today (Tuesday).
