Hear Festival Returns to Help Raise Funds and Awareness for Mental Illness

Time is running out to purchase tickets for the Hear Festival in Plymouth tomorrow.

The Hear Festival is an annual event that helps raise money and awareness for those with mental illness and their loved ones. Tickets will be available online until 5 p.m. today.

The musical festival is put on by Here/Hear, a local nonprofit organization aimed at providing hope and support to individuals with mental illness by helping people find counseling, providing educational events and offering suicide prevention and awareness training.

The event will be held in the Young Amphitheater located at the corner of Baker and Randolph Streets. This family-friendly music festival will feature live performances from several different musicians and bands including James Neary and the Bevy Blue, Lipstick Jodi, Stop.Drop.Rewind, Lalo Cura, Slow Orbit, and Infinite Buffalo.

There will be crafts for sale and food vendors will be on site as well. Outside food and beverages are allowed. Alcohol will not be sold but it is permitted on the premises as long as you drink responsibly and have a plan on how to get home safely.

The listed cost for a regular ticket is $15 while a family ticket costs $33.72 and covers two adults and all children. An additional service fee will be applied when buying online. Children under 13 get into the event for free. To purchase tickets, visit Eventbrite or the Hear Festival Facebook Page prior to 5 p.m. EST today.
