Culver Man Reportedly Crashes Golf Cart at Jellystone Campground, Lands Himself in Jail

A Culver man was arrested over the weekend after reportedly crashing a golf cart while under the influence.

Around 11 p.m. on Saturday, Marshall County Police were informed that a person had been involved in an accident within the Jellystone Campground, located on Redwood Road in Plymouth.

According to a Marshall County Sheriff’s Department police report, when an officer arrived at the scene they observed that an “E-Z Go” golf cart had crashed into a shed along with a water line and fence, causing damage to all.

The report indicates that the person who was driving the vehicle at the time of the crash was identified as 24-year-old Zackary Edward Armentrout. He apparently explained that he had been drinking beer and admitted to hitting the shed and water line as a result of losing control of the golf cart.

Armentrout was taken for a certified chemical test and was subsequently arrested and booked into the Marshall County Jail for operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a B.A.C. of .08 percent or more. His bond is set at $3,000 cash. Police noted that Armentrout is currently on parole.
