Bourbon Town Council Considers Library Board Appointment and Bi-Weekly Recycling Pick-Up Request

Bourbon Town Council members made an appointment to the Library Board when they met Tuesday night. At the request of Library Director Nick Treber, members appointed Lindsey McIntyre to the library board.

Additionally, members considered a request from Republic Services’ Municipal Account Executive Pete Callan.

According to Clerk-Treasurer Kim Berger, Callan asked the members to consider switching over to every other week recycling. This is a request that Republic Services has been asking other municipalities to consider as well. Officials in the towns of Argos and Bremen have already voted to switch to bi-weekly recycling pick up.

Ultimately, Bourbon officials decided to table the request. Members will be taking the matter under consideration and will put it up to a vote at their meeting next month.
