Warrant Arrest Reportedly Leads to Discovery of a Controlled Substance

While arresting a man for an outstanding warrant on Tuesday afternoon, police officers apparently located a controlled substance.

Police report that shortly before 4:30 p.m. on July 24th, 58-year-old Victor C. Yakas, of Plymouth was arrested for an outstanding warrant for dealing narcotics. While police were taking Yakas into custody, they reportedly found him to be in possession of a controlled substance.

Officers with the Marshall County Drug Task Force Undercover Narcotics Team conducted this operation.

The arrest took place at the intersection of West Adams Street and North Center Street. Yakas was lodged at the Marshall County Jail on the outstanding warrant and faces an additional charge for possession of a controlled substance. He has a $25,000 bond.
